Thanks for the info. For me, just downloading the ActiveX Flash Player with the link you provided fixed my problem. I couldn’t seem to get flash to work in IE 8, and every time I went to the Adobe website, IE would freeze when trying to download the file.

flash stopped working on internet explorer. I went to

http://www.adobe.com/support/flashplayer/downloads.html

and downloaded

Download the Adobe Flash Player 10 Update for Windows and Macintosh (ZIP, 44 MB)

One by one i unzipped the files in the release folder.

Everything worked fine after this.

Hi,

Its an excellent article, that worked for me. Actaullay flash file was working in my system and when I hosted in Server it raised the problem. After done the work around that u mentioned in the article, it works fine.

Many thanks for this procedure. So clear and so….working

I got a problem with upgrade to version 10 of flash player due to a firewall that put the ActiveX in “Doubtfull” and this procedure worked too…So thank you

Hey,
Actually my problem is I have updated Flash Player ActiveX and Plug-in from version 9.0.124.0 to ver 10.0.22.87 and try to play my .swf files via web in IE7 (windows XP). But somehow its stop working it is working fine with Flash Player 9.0.124.0 ver but not with latest ver 10.0.22.87.

However its working fine on my local machine but after hosting on web its stop playing.

Please help!!
